The Netherlands

Spring hasn't sprung yet - and the morning started of grey and cold!
After breakfast, the kids went to school and as it was Auntie Antoinette's "Office-work-at-home-day" I had a bit of time to myself to check the neighborhood.
Leimuiden is a nice little village, but SMALL!! If you enter by car and hit the throttle, you'll be out of it again before you know it! It's the truth, I tell ya!
Very friendly people though, and because it's just a small community most people know each other. They must have known that I was coming to visit, as everyone greeted me on my stroll, some waved, some smiled, some nodded, but they all made me feel very welcome.

After my walk it was time for Lunch. Over here the kids come home for Lunch from 12-12.50 PM and we had some great tuna-sandwiches. Unlike my miniature family members *I* do like human food, I just have to watch my weight!

Auntie Antoinette had lots of typing to do, so she went to do her business and I decided it was time for a loooooong nap.
When the kids came home at 3.15 PM we went to play outside until it was time for Dinner.
After the pancakes at Aunti Imbi I was treated with another Dutch speciality: "patat". Yes, I know they look like thick French Fries, but they tasted sooo good.
You can choose several sauces to go with it. Manon and I had "patat and peanut-sauce", Auntie had "patat flip" (mayonaise mixed with peanut sauce) and Sabine - the adventurous one - had "patat oorlog" or "fries at war" LOL (mayonaise, peanut sauce, curry sauce and raw onions). It looks yuck, but it tastes great!
The best thing is that you eat it with your hands, yay, throw away the cutlery!

Hmpf *frowns* I wasn't allowed to eat with my hands!

After watching TV - my Dutch has improved a lot since I came to Holland - it was time for bed again. This time they moved my bed to Sabine's room.
Again... I must have been sleepwalking, as I was in Sabine's bed when Auntie came to check on us.

Can you see me in the pic? On the left, where the white arrow is.
*I* was on the pillow. Sabine on the other hand, had turned around during the night and was sleeping upside down :D

That's all for today folks! This is Lord Buggie - signing off
