My Joseph
Long time visitors of my blog will know that I’m a huge fan of Lee Mead, who won the BBC search for the lead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Well… a Dutch production of Joseph is in the making now, for the first time ever. As the Dutch haven’t got a clue what the musical is about, and the producers want the theatres to be sold out, they started a search on Dutch TV. It’s free publicity and when the hype starts, people will buy tickets (I already got mine :D)
When I saw who was auditioning for the show I jumped for joy. Freek Bartels – Manon and I met him after Les Mis – was brave enough to accept the challenge of facing a TV audience for many weeks in a row.
After the initial auditions, where 750 guys tried their luck, he went to the next round. He made it through Joseph school Γ‘nd made it to the final 10! Those 10 have to perform on live TV and each week the public will vote one of them off. Last Sunday was the first live TV show, and here’s a video. He’s the guy in the orange suit, in the first shot: first row on the right. Enjoy!
GO GO GO GO Freek! I can’t wait for the second show on Sunday!!
JAAA!!
Freek and John are my favourites:D
Uh oh! Move over Lee?????

Freeeeeeeek, yup, he’s my favourite too, he’s so adorable, haha. He’s my hero π I’m jealous at your 4th-row tickets, we’re almost at the back of the theatre π Ah well, no biggie, I’ll just make sure to wear my glasses π
