Some good news
The two pieces of the bone were in place and although there was still doubt, they were willing to give it a try without surgery *phew*
Got new plaster (purple!! :D) for three weeks, then I’ll have to go back to the hospital. If there’s enough new bone-mass growing (I have no idea how to translate this in English, lol) I’ll get ‘walking’ plaster for two more weeks. *crossing fingers*
I’ll keep you posted!
Hi antoinette ! Coming to read what’s new … no surgery, that’s good news, no ? Meaning no “reeducation” after too, and less time …. Have you to stay without moving all the day , You say you will have a “walking plaster” after … Well, at least, it looks better, that is the principal … Sending you warm and reconfort waves !! Hugs !

That is good news!! Here is hoping all heals well 🙂
My hand is finally free from the splint they had made for me to wear while we were in Mexico and I am happy to say that my hand is working almost like it used too.
I hope you have some pictures of that purple cast 🙂
Big hugs and stay comfortable!

Yay, no surgery is always good news. Just don’t try to do too much while you wait for everything to heal.

Oh Antoinette you are having a rotten start to 2009. I hope you’ve got all your bad stuff behind you now and only good stuff to come for the rest of the year.
If you have to wear a plaster then I guess you’d have to say that a purple one is pretty cool. Very glad to hear that surgery isn’t needed. My daughter broke her ankle a few years ago and had to have surgery to put a pin in and then more surgery to take it out. Not pleasant at all.
So take care of yourself and make sure that you’re kind to you and don’t expect more of yourself than you should.
