Hi there, I’m Antoinette, born in 1958, you do the maths (sometimes it feels like 20, other times like 80 :p)

Although I can see positive things about using WordPress, I’m not too happy right now. Still learning and finding it hard!

I don’t know why I let Caroline talk me into using WP – I have enough grey hairs already *grin*

  1. You will thank Caroline one day Antoinette. WordPress is by far the best of the free blogging platforms if you want protection from spam bloggers. They don’t use that horrible text encryption thing that drives me batty on Blogger. But i agree the learning curve is steeper. Hang in there.

  2. Yes, you will thank Caroline one day. Still have a lot to learn about WP, and true that sometimes it makes me want to tear my hair out, but I did try blogging with CuteNews and yet, I ended up coming back to WP LOL

  6. I’m new to WordPress for a blog also. I’m not even sure why I decided to start it, as I still use my LJ and my blogspot one. But that is mostly for Harry Potter/and maybe someday other books.

    I’ve had trouble with this one too. There are things I’d like to do but I can’t figure out how to do it. I did finally manage to change the banner at the top and put a photo of a rose from my back yard; good thing I took that pic, as that particular rose is on death’s door at the moment.

    I have noticed that wordpress is stopping any spamming and that’s always a good thing.
